Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson grew up in Mexico in a family who was devoted to music. The majority of her childhood was spent listening to traditional music, old boleros as well as traditional ranchero and romantic ballads. Ana loves tangos, operas and other dramatic shows. Following her singing lessons with mom, she started more serious singing lessons at the age of 16 under the guidance of renown Mexican Tenor FlavioBecerra. In the School of Music of Guadalajara University as well as the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico continued her music education. She performed throughout Guadalajara, Mexico City and different cities when she was a young musician and student. After moving into the United States, she performed with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. In 2002, she made her way to southern California. The singer currently sings the traditional Latin American songs at private occasions as a soloist. She is involved with many local initiatives in both teaching as well as a performer due to her enthusiasm for music and arts. Ana was a member of both the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is now a teacher of The Performance Loft. Ana is hoping that, with her performance songs from Latin American traditional songs, to inspire a love, especially for the young generation, for keeping this music in the present.
