Rosalia

Rosalia Vila is a Spanish flamenco and pop singer. As a teenager she was involved with traditional as well as popular music. But, her singing interests have broadened to encompass soul and hip-hop. The flamenco guitar player Pepe habichuela described her voice as delicate and sharp, yet with the bite of older singers. El Mal Querer gained her notoriety and commercial success when her debut album Los Angeles was released in the year 2017. It earned her an award called the Latin Grammy Award for Best New Artist. La Fama featuring Weeknd debuted in 2021. Motomami is her 3rd album that was full-length. It included songs written in collaboration with other musicians and producers, such as Cory Henry. The album was released in the month of March 2022, following a Saturday Night Live performance featuring the hit song Chicken Teriyaki. Rosalia was the first Spanish solo performer to be a part of Saturday Night Live. Motomami Rosala as well as winning three Latin Grammy Awards and the Latin Album of the Year award twice, she was the first woman ever to receive both awards.
